A couple of weeks ago I sent someone some reference.
Today I was looking through reference to send to someone else, and I "discovered" that I had sent the wrong reference to the first person. So I shoot them an email with "randomly discovered that I sent you the wrong reference. Here's the right one."
Then, I realized when it was too late, I sent it correctly the first time.

I have never felt as professor-like as this moment.


For those who are curious, I'm having my partner send a "sorry, long day" follow up because I couldn't bare the embarrassment
